Ran

There really aren’t enough words to describe how brilliant this film is. A monumental Shakespearean epic that is truly captivating from beginning to end, visually pleasing beyond what should be possible, it really is one of those films where every frame should be hung up in the Louvre. If someone told you that this was “the greatest film of all time” you wouldn’t even bat an eyelid. The cinematic experience makes this masterpiece all the more special. A true work of art by one of the greatest directors who ever lived.
