You know I might be bias because this movie is set right around my teenage years so everything really hit home to me but this was genuinely great. I think it suffered in the time it released as it’s a little too early for a Covid period piece lol but it’s still so accurate and really captures the vibe so well especially the conspiracy and political aspects like I remember seeing all this on social media and irl. And you know the cinematography is great it really captures the unremarkable beauty of American small towns. This movie really made me an Ari aster fan as it’s my favorite so far by him hereditary was good but honestly a little forgetful for me and midsummer I’ve only come to appreciate recently and I haven’t go to beau is afraid but so far his style is really forming nice and I enjoy what he does. The dialogue and the character in this movie was great like it’s very sociological I enjoyed that lmao. Definitely not for everyone especially in this day and age because of the subject matter but it’s really a shame because this film doesn’t really have a blatant bias to one side or another I think it’s very well done at showing different perspectives and the faults of them. Definitely one of my new favorites
