The Shining

Kubrick fucks. Reminds me of Suspiria. I can’t believe I never watched this fully as a horror fan. As a kid I would put it on bc I was into movies and heard this was well known and acclaimed  but it was lowkey confusing and scary so I would never finish it. Finally watched it tonight and I must say this is probably the greatest psychological horror film ever made. I mean I don’t know wether  I like this or Barry Lyndon more to me this might be better honestly such a iconic movie so quotable and references in so many other forms of media. Some of the most beautiful cinematography and coloring in any movie and especially a horror movie. And I mean wow the narrative is well done for the screen as someone who hasn’t read the novel. So interesting and it really makes u want to know more. The overlook hotel and the  supernatural “shine”is so interesting and the ending was great. The entire cast did excellent.
