Before Sunrise

New episode of Cineflek with Stephen and Griffin is out!! What a magical experience this is. More than anything it captures the feeling of becoming intimate with someone you barely know. The dialogue feels natural and believable and you feel like you're wandering through a city with your two leads. Hawke and Delpy are both irresistible as they navigate some extremely difficult topics and questions about life and philosophy. I found these conversations so relatable as many of these thoughts are things that have crossed my mind at various points, mostly when I was younger. I'm 23, I'm still quite young, but I already feel my world view hardening from this curiosity and innocence Jesse and Celine seem to have. Some of this is natural but I want to hold on to that inquisitive part of myself. I don't have all the answers and I never want to act like I do. While they are slightly naive, they aren't at all dumb and are bringing up points that people struggle with into their old age. It's a conversation I don't mind having repeatedly every time I revisit this movie. . . . Claira will be joining the Cineflek podcast in a more permanent role!!
