“Bad shit happens to people I care about.” This film is absolutely breathtaking. Finishing off my X-Men universe rewatch with this film is just the perfect way to end because this is easily the best from the universe. Everything about this is incredible from start to finish. The level of emotion that this film contains is unbelievable, never fails to make me crack up completely especially those last 15 minutes. This is right up there as one of the best CBM of all time and easily slots high into my favorites of all time list. Wolverine is just behind Batman for me in my favorite superheroes and that just shows how much this character means to me. One thing I will always stand by is that Hugh Jackman is the best casting ever for a CBM character, the performances he consistently puts in throughout the franchise are exceptional and this film tops it all off. I am so excited to see him again tonight on the big screen. Can’t believe I have never seen Wolverine on the big screen….tonight is gonna be special! I just want to mention that Dafne Keen is extraordinary in this film. She spends the majority of the film not talking at all and she doesn’t need to because the performance she still puts in is beautiful. When she does start talking though I just well up every single time, the way she portrays X-23 is beautiful and her performance is easily one of my favorite performances from any child actor. Having this film as strongly R-rated is perfect because the violence of the film works so well for the character of Wolverine. I cannot believe how incredible this film is. It has absolutely everything in it from action scenes to comedic moments and to absolute heartbreak. I will forever love this film and I am also so fucking excited for Deadpool & Wolverine tonight. “Let’s fucking go!”
