Weapons
Zach Cregger’s trajectory in horror continues to impress. With Weapons, he delivers an eerie, layered mystery that’s as satirical as it is suspenseful. The disappearing children premise unfolds chapter by chapter, reminiscent of Magnolia, yet steeped in dread. Technically, it’s stunning: every frame crackles with ominous detail and every creak and echo in the soundscape pulls you deeper into strange truths. It’s equal parts chilling and strangely funny, a rare tonal feat and one that demands a second viewing to tease out all its unnerving half-lies. I loved every second of this.
