the way this movie addresses themes of sexual abuse, trauma, motherhood, and incest is just phenomenal to me. aj and frank are cut from the same cloth of hurting women for their own gain. aj thinks he’s better than frank bc his crime is less obvious but he is still a rapist who only cares about himself. the mother encapsulates not only the horrifying after effects of rape and incest but a mother’s instinct to protect her children. rip to keith always
