Tenet
Arguably Christopher Nolans best film.
The opening opera scene is one of the best movie openings ever. John David Washington has great screen presence as a protagonist full-stop, so when playing a character who's whole point is to be the protagonist taking the audience through the film he's great. Also something about him being so short adds to his character, I don't know why but it adds so much. I get the argument that he's quite boring and one dimensional as a character, a valid critique of alot of Christopher Nolans writing, however the protagonist is one of the best spies in the CIA and fits this character profile to join TENET so it makes scene for him to be old and one dimensional.
Every other side chacter is great as well, even Kenneth Branagh who at first I wasn't sure on in this role has grew on me over time. These film does need multiple watches to fully appreciate it and all the excess law and head cannon does add to the enjoyment of how stupidly smart and complex this film is.
Everyone lords over Nolan Films for being smart and different with shock twists and ideas only he could adapt, but then hate on this film for being too far and silly. This is no sillier than humans trancending to four-dimensional beings creating worm holes and using love to communicate as it transcends time. Or Wolverine getting David Bowie to make a cloning devices to one up his rival Patrick Bateman and his twin Brother Bruce Wayne.
