Aftersun

Aftersun triggers a sense of dullness within me that forces me to reflect on my own well-being and my own unsaid thoughts. It drives my want for extinguishing the dreariness and anguish that often overtakes my own life. I hope to heal from all the things I don’t ever talk about. I hope to have the courage to be better one day. No last dances please!!! I often forget that my parents are unique individuals with their own unique experiences and flaws too. I forget that this is their first time living life as well. I hope they have healed from the things they don’t ever talk about. Aftersun has INSTANTLY solidified itself as one of the best films of all time and as my top favourite film in recent years. This film has hit me in all the broken places of my heart in the best way possible. The Under Pressure dance scene crushes me every single time without fail. I can’t listen to the song without feeling emotional and melancholic. Aftersun is an absolute masterpiece in my eyes. Pure perfection. Paul Mescal needs to give me a hug
