Django Unchained
Haven’t seen this movie in so long and how I’ve missed it. I think this was the first Tarantino movie I ever saw. It’s truly one of his best I believe. Probably top tier Tarantino right here. It’s such a great revenge driven western that is easy to understand and so entertaining. It’s so easy to get lost in this movie and it’s easy to focus on every little detail. Christoph delivers a great performance like he did in inglorious bastards, some might argue this performance was even better. Jamie Foxx did so well for being a comedian, his ability to play serious roles is so impressive. Samuel L. Jackson is only on screen for a short time but he steals the scene. Leonardo DiCaprio. Like cmon, for me that’s a top 5 performance by Leo. Even though his character is a shitty person and he’s only on screen for a little while Leo really does magical things. To think he worked on this with Tarantino then instantly moved to working on Wolf of Wall Street with Scorsese is fucking insane. Two of his best performances back to back years. This is getting upgraded to 5 stars for me cuz of how happy it makes me.
