BEEF
There Is a lot i want to Say about Beef. Hell, i could even write an essay with my personal opinions, but i'll tone It down.
In short, Beef Is an incredible, catchy series that manages to condensate a melting pot of emotions that could have easily stretched over longer seasons. Every episode delves deeper in the main character's psychological background, but the secondary cast Is made of tridimensional characters that feel alive, real.
Beef manages to touch many themes, cultural, psychological, social, etc. And It manages to do that using a Dynamic, surrealistic and comical plot as its backdrop. Surely the best episodes are the last two, and the ending was something from another world.
Beef Is surely a more than pleasant Surprise, with incredible actors, both funny and sad moments.
About the main characters another essay could be written, and each of them could go for pages. Is really surprising how they develop and unveil themselves in a relatively short span of 351 minutes.
I had great expectations on this project and they were more than surpassed. A24 Is quickly becoming a staple for the industry (not that It wasn't) and it's finally getting some REAL recognition. Big up, Yeun and Wong both deserve an Emmy.
Oh and, before wrapping up, i must compliment the cinematography.
