Phantom Thread
i love this film and everything it stands for on the subject of love and how it shows us the harsh bipolarity of it that many romances are too afraid to explore beyond a superficial level. everything about this dynamic is unconventional and i fucking love how much power alma holds as someone who’s meant to be so imperfect, so relatable to us, the audience. she is not weak for sticking around, she is a fucking warrior for seeing her lover through the ugliest side of him without letting him destroy her spirit, her essence, her honesty, everything that makes her so incredible. she loves unapologetically and she’ll do it however it makes sense to her
