Saw the 35mm print at one of my favorite buildings in the country- the NY Film Forum. What a gorgeous print and a pleasure to watch this in that format. I know this movie well and was excited for my three favorite parts in theater. Each of them made me feel like I was gonna burst. Ride of the valkyries, Asa Nisi Masa, Claudia. There is so much to love in 8 1/2 and I’m very fortunate to have seen this rare and beautiful film print in a theater with a row to myself.
