BEEF
Let me start off by saying that Beef has become one of my favorite TV shows of recent times. From its dark and brutal moments, to its comedy it is the perfect blend of genres.
From the first few minutes of the first episode you are dealing with these hectic and stressful moments already that feel tense. It immediately puts you in the shoes of the main antagonist and shows the struggles that Danny is going through. Stephen Yeun is absolutely fantastic in the show and puts one of his best roles yet. Same goes for Ali Wong as Amy. Both of the characters in this show make some wildly annoying and stupid decisions to the point where you don't know who you want to be rooting for. I think the obvious answer would be none of them but there is a small bit of me that rooted for both characters. The supporting cast also did a fantastic job and this show is filled with so much talent. The screenplay is dark-witty and hilarious and will throw you for a loop at many occasions.
There is a complete tonal shift that I did not expect to see in episodes 9 and 10. 10 was a near perfect episode that had one of the best endings of recent times. My personal favorite episode was 7 which had my jaw dropped to the floor by the end of it.
Overall, I urge everyone to take the time to watch this masterpiece of a show. I could not stop watching (I binged it in 2 days). Im addicted. BRING ON SEASON 2!!!
