Dune: Part Two

I’m overwhelmed, I’m emotional, I’m a wreck. I’m going to try and keep this short but bear with me. Dune part two is nothing short of masterful filmmaking. This is what the movies are for, this is how all movies should be made. Being a big Dune book fan I was very nervous to see how this second part would be portrayed. There are many parts that I would just question how they would do. I trusted Denis and he made me the happiest person on the planet tonight. At some points I literally teared up, not at emotional parts, but at parts that just shook me to my core at how well made, epic, and grandiose they were. This movie will forever be known as one of the greatest sci fi movies to ever be made. Mark my words. While there are some parts in the book that did not happen in the movie, which did disappoint me to some degree. The movie is just so fucking good I can look past those changes and see it as still a great adaptation to a great book. I didn’t mind the changes and I actually thought they made sense to this adaptation of the book. Genuinely in disbelief, I need to rewatch immediately, I just had an ethereal experience that I will never experience again.
