The Witch

Well, I finally decided to revisit The Witch after a little over a year and not liking it the first time. I did it right this time. I set the mood, distraction-free, with no lights on, alone just me and the film. I find it so fascinating how Robert Eggers can capture such an eerie atmosphere that makes this movie scarier. It's not a big bloody film but a creepy, unsettling, and disturbing movie that doesn't leave me feeling the best way. I don't think I liked this movie, but I loved how it made me feel, and the direction is incredible. I can now say confidently, The VVitch is an astonishing film. Now I gotta rewatch The Lighthouse and see if my opinion has changed on that.
