Pixars best movie. Without a doubt to me. I always hate it when people say the first 20 mins a great and that's what everyone remembers it for. Yes I agree the opening montage is great, I think it's not only the best scene in any pixar film but maybe best monage in any film I've seen. But the rest of the film is damn good the whole way through. I really fuck with the dreamlike vibe of this movie. I don't really know how to describe it but it's just cool to me. The imagery of the house floating due to balloons so iconic for a reason. This movie also has one of the all time best musical scores to any movie ever. A pretty great emotional core. The scene where Carl is looking at the scrapbook at paradise falls is genuinely perfect. It's also probably the funniest pixar movie rivaled only by maybe the toy story films. I was actually surprised by how much I was laughing at this still. So yeah the people who call this overrated are wrong and I think the fact that it has become the popular sentiment Ironicly makes this the most underrated.
