Moneyball

hbd brad! and that’s my excuse thsi time for rewatching this absolute masterpiece and my favorite film of all time as a kid who’s spent more time on baseball savant and baseball reference than the average teeenager this movie feels made for me i often question and hate on the “casual” stats of baseball and care far too much abt wrc+ and woba and drs than the normal teenager. i love the sabermetric area of baseball and it all started under sabermetirc god bill james (mentioned in the film) and the philosophy coined in oakland. a beautiful stroy that i share such a strong connection to. from a filmmaking standpoint it’s just as great. a incredible script from sorkin (no surprises there) that’s both equally intelligent funny and emotional. perfect direction from miller and outstanding performances (highlighted by pitt and hill) bring his script to life. perfect characters perfect script perfect acting perfect messaging perfect directing. a true masterpiece one that i have a strong personal connection to and one that will most likely be my fav film forever. sheesh that was long but god do i love this movie.
