Spotlight

now i was not raised catholic and never attended church but still i was deeply moved by this film. the first hour i found confusingand boring but the last hour of the film had me so engaged and crying multiple times. the score is beautiful and all the stars r great but it’s ruffalo who shines the brightest. the screenplay is incredible and the directing is great. the scene where the church kids are singing silent night and the final scene broke my heart. this was incredible hard to believe it’s from the guy who directed the cobbler a year prior
