The Lobster

This was genuinely so good. This obviously has a ton of Wes Anderson influence in terms of the quirkiness and style, and that what makes this movie so good stylistically. Conceptually, this movie is downright insane, and I really applaud lanthimos for his originality. This movie is so deep with its themes of why people really like other people and how society treats relationships. Are we all just trying to be compatible because that's what is expected? The dialogue in this is obviously super funky but that awkwardness and emotionless tones are so key to the theme. The ending was also done so well. This movie is also shot so well as the 2 parts with the brush are beautiful. I could go on about how much I loved this theme and how it was portrayed and how it looked. This is my second yargos film and I will definitely be watching killing of a sacred deer soon. I genuinely loved this movie and I want to see it again as soon as I can. 5 star rated movies
