Star Wars

Had fourth block planning and showed it to a student that had never seen it before. They really liked it. Star Wars is special for so many reasons. It’s a film that’s not only a massive staple of American cinema that fundamentally changed the concept of the modern blockbuster, but also spawned a series that’s greatest strength is that it’s a generational story. Every generation has a legend. Every generation has THEIR Star Wars, as well as a Star Wars that’s happening for the next one that they get to share too. That’s probably the biggest reason why I love it. It’s a film that tells us reaching out and using one’s own feelings can be a greater strength than a computer ever could. It shows that one person truly can make a difference and change the galaxy. And most importantly: that those we love and have left an impact on us will be with us. Always.
