One of the single most monumental movies ever created I just absolutely loved the scale and level of artistry and control Kurosawa exhibits here, his level of artistry is on another level and I love how he utilizes color in this. It’s definitely not by accident that all of the brothers encompass all the primary colors and the way he utilizes these colors the both literally and metaphorically paint his scenes and the way he paints them through a lense of chaos. It seems Kurosawa is utilizing these colors this way to say that the basics of life it self will result in chaos, that the pictures we paint by living is just chaos and stresses the importance and sadness of being alone. There’s so much about this but it just feels better left unsaid it’s truly one of the greatest movie experiences ever
