Obi-Wan Kenobi
Part IV (36m)
I am so disappointed. Like, we have reached Rise of Skywalker level of stupidity. But the thing about Rise of Skywalker is that, though it was one of the dumbest films ever made and definitely an underwhelming to a great saga, it still managed to be fun. Whereas this, on the other hand... The fact you make an otherwise genius idea like this feel kind of unnecessary in the grand scheme of things is beyond me. Now, I will give the show this: In the past few episodes, I criticized Moses Ingram's performance as Reva. Although I still believe that it's a little too over-the-top for my taste, this episode kind of made it click in my mind that her performance is fine: The main issue is the writing. Whether it be the dialogue or plot, it's just--to put it bluntly--not good. Obi-Wan Kenobi kind of feels like a side character in this episode and doesn't really do much until the last fifteen minutes, which doesn't even focus around him. Also, considering how their rematch was so plainly shot, I am genuinely terrified of how Obi-Wan Kenobi VS Darth Vader is going to go down, even with the stakes being, oh, so incredibly low. We'll just have to wait and see. We have two episodes left and my excitement has drained completely. Obi-Wan Kenobi, you were my only hope.
