“Nice socks! It’s that girl Tracy from chem class. Who let her out of the cabbage patch?” Now Tracey goes home throwing out her socks just because some “cool girls” made a stupid idiotic comment. *“Nice talking to you dad.” * *“I can’t even remember how to spell ‘photographer’.” * *“TRACY WAS PAYING WITH BARBIES BEFORE SHE MET EVIE!” * This movie perfectly describes girlhood. But a very specific type. You have to have a very specific type of life to understand this film. I see so many people in their reviews talking about how this is inaccurate this film is “this isn’t how thirteen year olds act. Maybe not how you act or acted but you do not define everyone. I have a very similar life to Tracy. My mums an addict my dad left and me and sorted out his life not for me but his new shiny daughter whom I’m not allowed to see. This movie is absolutely breathtaking. Real proof you do not need a big budget to make a good film.
