Phantom Thread

Don't know what came over me with this viewing. I appreciated this film more than I enjoyed it on my first watch, but I became absolutely enamored this time around. Its so unbelievably tender. A romance that feels as grand, yet emotionally intimate as a Victorian era novel. We don't deserve a film with so much love. Oozing with technical precision and attention to detail. The performances from top to bottom are career bests. I just want to hold this film into my arms and never let it go. Genuine spectacle of real love on display. Not the honeymoon, puppy love, but real genuine companionship. I just want to admire, and be admired, the way Reynolds and Alma admire each other.
