not super hard to believe that the result of going all in with an original movie by Coogs is it performing. this movie has the benefit of being subtext gold and easily digestible, and it makes it watchable for everyone. on rewatch even in a regular theatre, this movie is still annoyingly beautiful, like a baller ass mural. sinners demands to have your attention and then cages that attention and gives it 15 to life.
