Interstellar
It is the most “yeah no shit” statement to make but cooper looking back on the messages, seeing and hearing how the kids have grown through all the time he’s been gone is truly one of the saddest scenes in all of film. The realization that you’ve lost so much time with those you love, and the realization that you can’t do anything about it. Nolan’s work is often so grand in scale and in theme, dealing with all of these larger than life ideas and bigger than what the human mind can even really comprehend is more than ever present with this but what brings it home and what makes this really work so well is the core being a family, and love. Everything we do, no matter the outcome good or bad is because of love. Nolan’s masterpiece truly.
Also, Netflix I will catch you!!!! Seeing this in imax really makes the picture quality on Netflix so evident I hate it.
