Blade Runner 2049

Wow. Just wow. This is an absolute masterpiece in every form of the word. Everything works so well. From the writing to the direction. Every performance is phenomenal with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford being the obvious standouts. Ana De Armas also gives yet another breathtaking performance. Denis Villeneueve does a wonderful job at directing this. The story, while somewhat slow at the beginning certainly picks up and becomes thoroughly engaging. It manages to expand the Blade Runner universe while keeping the film entertaining. And we have to talk about the visuals because my god are they beautiful. Every frame is shot in such a way that it becomes such a joy to watch. Denis has me even more excited for Dune than before as this is definitely one of the best films made in the past decade!
