Almost Famous

I haven't been able to get this movie out of my head since I saw it only a month ago! It's just constantly on my mind whether I'm doing the most mundane tasks and then randomly a random scene from this will just start playing in my head and it just makes me so happy! So when I got some terrible news and had to make quickly make a flight which was 9 hours I didn't have time to thoughtfully plan out everything I would be watching, so I decided to downloaded the rest of season one of twin peaks (oh my God it is so fucking good) and the bootleg cut/directors cut of Almost famous which adds a whopping 40 minutes of additional footage! If you want my original thoughts on the theatrical cut of this you can find that right here! The extended cut does a phenomenal job at giving more context to certain scenes by expanding on them and letting some jokes play out a bit better! There were three or four scenes that were completely taken out of the original which are really great scenes with my favorite being the radio interview with stillwater! I would recommend the bootleg cut to those that are fans or the original cut as the pacing is a bit slower due to all of the extra footage in this version! If you are a fan of the original I highly recommend this version! BTW I will never get over the fact thay Jimmy Fallon is in this and I didn't even recognize him until this rewatch! ALSO please check out the stairway to heaven deleted scene on YouTube which wasn't included in either cut of the film because of music rights but it is genuinely one of the best scenes if it were included and is such an amazing scene on its own! P.S. I have no idea why so don't ask me but the song Champagne Supernova always makes me think of this movie even though it's not in the movie at all!? I have no reason to ever tell anybody this but really need to share it so here we are.
