Perfect Blue

as i was watching this movie i started questioning if i was actually interpreting/watching the scenes correctly for a moment as if i was going through a spiral. it’s just such an unsettling movie but in the best way possible. its essentially a textbook display of psychosis mixed with mixed with peer pressure, parasocialism, and the effect gender expectations. this movie brilliantly demonstrated delusion, projection, and someone’s self-concept collapsing in a way that the watcher was going through it themselves.
