Nowhere

This movie's relationship with sex is fascinating. I've said this before, but this movie's depiction of sexuality is one of my favorite in all of media. Sex is exciting, it allows us to tap into our animalistic instincts and really get lost in the act, for better and worse, and it's really unlike anything else, both from a literal and spiritual lens. Your individuality during sex is completely gone, and you really are stripped down to your most human in a way unmatched by anything else. Araki takes that fact, that exposed humanity and bares it to the camera in the most fascinating ways. Nowhere shows sex at its wildest, its kinkiest, its most intimate and its most harmful, its most dangerous. It makes for an absolutely fascinating viewing experience. This was my first time watching this with someone else though, which was a VERY different experience lmao.
