Chernobyl

It’s truly terrifying watching the aftermath of a government governing through denial and lies and the cost of such negligence and then seeing the same tactics be carried out in our current administration. rewatching this series this time around, the reality of the soviet union was at the forefront. never mind the horrific disaster that chernobyl was, the unfathomable way thousands of people died from radiation and the efforts and the human lives that it cost for the government to contain it… the absolutely lack of accountability is the worst part. this show is genuinely a masterpiece and i’m shocked every time i remember that the same man who wrote and created it also wrote the atrocity that is the last of us. like how does that even happen.
