Poor Things

It's funny that a movie about a dead woman is the movie that made me feel the most alive this year. Poor Things offers so much to get wrapped up in with this incredible story. The production design is immaculate and the filmmaking is top notch. This is definitely Yorgos at his best. This is such a passionate story about liberation and what it means to live. This movie honestly taught me to just live my life to the fullest and not be held down to any standard by someone or something. All those themes are conveyed through a strong script and Emma Stone's excellent performance. I absolutely loved her in this. She is so funny and really gets you to feel and care for her. Mark Ruffalo also shines as a crazy scummy sex fiend. He was also so hilarious and an Oscar is definitely in need for both him and Emma because they are just incredible. I really loved this film.
