Final Destination

in my opinion, no movie premise has ever been as chilling as final destination's. as the movie says, we imagine our deaths to be in some far-off future, but death is possible at ANY moment for ANY of us. this idea, along with the idea that it can and will come after you when it's your time is what makes final destination so frightening. i am completely obsessed with the movie's references to itself (like the constant use of "rocky mountain high") and its little, almost unnoticeable details (like alex hearing christa and blake's voices calling his name the night before the plane crash). everything that happens in the movie has purpose, and it all comes together in such an intelligent way. my personal belief is that there will never be a movie better than final destination. it's shaped so much of who i am at this point in my life, and i honestly don't know what i would do without it. thank you james wong, & thank you jeffrey reddick!
