Loki

⏰ season 2: After the first season of Loki, I was pretty sure Marvel was never going to top it, but somehow they managed to do that in an awesome way! The story was absolutely amazing and was filled with many well-executed multiverse scenes, and it might even be their best multiverse project ever. The cast was just sublime, with Tom Hiddleston front and center, being better than ever as Loki! Sophia Di Martino and Owen Wilson were once again superb, and I don’t know if they will ever return, but if they don’t, they closed their stories in some sweet ways. Ravonna and Miss Minutes were also given some very nice stories, and I really liked that they let them go full villain this time around. And speaking of villains, he might not have been one this time around, but Jonathan Majors was superb as Victor Timely, and once again, it is a real shame that we will never get to see the Avengers fight his variants. As for the new cast, it was mainly one character, Ouroboros, who is awesomely played by Ke Huy Quan, and he was an amazing choice for that role! I am also not a big fan of all the weird callback stuff Marvel does latelly, but the many time paradoxes they included here were super fun and added a lot to the story. The action scenes we got were also very good, and especially the Groundhog Day-like time loop at the end was executed in an awesome way!  The costumes were maybe a bit simplistic, but simplicity is key, so that worked very well here. And, of course, the amazing finale that makes Loki the god of time and, in that way, saves the whole universe is such a good arc to his story and really makes him the biggest MCU hero! I am very glad that they included Yggdrasil (the tree of life) to continue the Norse mythology with his character. I have said it before, but the ending gives all the other characters the happy endings they deserved, such as Mobius finally retiring and Sylvie being set free, which closes the show on an amazing note.  So in the end, I highly doubt that Marvel will ever top this show, and I am now really curious to see what his role will be in “Doomsday” and what Thor’s reaction will be upon discovering that his brother is now the god of time and thus of the universe! 🚤
