Scream
talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.
if i had to name my top ten films of all time, this movie would definitely fall somewhere on that list. this will forever be an iconic childhood film that i can return to no matter how much or how recently i have seen it. the opening to this film will hands down always be one of the most iconic and memorable scenes in horror. i will always love and remember tatum riley and her snuffing of final girl status, but sidney prescott is definitely a badass who deserved to live for sure. although i still consider billy to be mid as a ghostface killer, this rewatch actually made me enjoy stu a lot more than i previously did — sadly i wasn’t the fondest of randy like i was during my initial watches; however he is still excellent, my fellow virgin.
super excited to continue my scream franchise rewatch accompanied by rachael, and i can’t wait to see if any more of my opinions on the killers/the films themselves change throughout this.
