A Clockwork Orange

Thank you mia for using brute force and bullying, shooting at me for days on end to make me watch this again it was well worth it I really love this movie now  I think I hated it before because it just grossed me out but having seen more movies it really isn’t so bad.  I’m probably not the best person to analyse the movie I’ll probably get it wrong and I’ll get abused even more but I’ll try a little bit. I feel the thing that sticks out to me the most is whether Alex was better off neutered and brainwashed or just his normal self. While yeah if everyone was too afraid to do wrong it would be a better world but having his own agency and sense of self even though he used it to be hellspawn he was living a real life. I feel Alex coming out kinda winning is the best ending for this movie I can’t imagine it going any other way I forgot how just amazing this movie looked it was so colourful and stylised while 2001 is obviously the best looking Kubrick movie I’d say this is up there too.  I’m going to give some of my favourite quotes that really sum up the movie  “Gutty wuttys” “Eggy weggs” “Welly welly welly welly welly welly”
