Nowhere

After receiving the Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy Criterion Box Set, the first thing I had to do was listen to the commentary track on Nowhere, and I loved it! So many fun moments and interesting little facts about the movie. I absolutely love how much emphasis Araki puts on the lighting and colors of this film, as well as how willing he is to give credit to the makeup, hair, lighting, and cinematography people. Beautiful film on every front. It’s also so nice to hear queer people in their 30’s, especially how fondly they look back on this.  This is for real like my favorite movie ever at the moment. It’s the movie that defines me at this point in my life and I love that it exists. Art is so fucking cool.
