Inception
2010: Inception. 2020: Tenet. I can’t wait to see Nolan’s 2030 film bc this is nolan’s second most ambitious film to date behind tenet, that obviously doesn’t disappoint. the complexity of this film and the scale which nolan is able to achieve is incredible to watch. i really love how a wrench is thrown into the plan at every stage and the improvisation keeps you locked in. every nolan holds up on rewatch because he litters his films with subtle details which makes you appreciate the film even more while keeping you thinking and engaged.
dare i say this is leo’s best role. the final scene is just so powerful when you finally see the kids turn, that moment hits so hard especially right after cillian has the moment with his father in the vault on the third level. i firmly believe that he is not dreaming at the end in that final beautiful scene. maybe it’s because i don’t want to believe he’s dreaming or maybes i can’t believe it but it ultimately doesn’t matter bc that is not what he cares about.
