Wishmaster

wishmaster... uh thursday?? yeah doesn't work as well as wednesday but i was just looking for an excuse to rewatch wishmaster. 2025 has been absolute ass and letterboxd is one of the few bright spots where i get to see some of the smartest and funniest people all talk a medium we all collectively love. this is such (complimentary) stupid movie that it has entered the fuck it five stars realm. wishmaster knows exactly what it is and that's the beauty of it. what other movie is going to have robert englund, joseph pilato, verne troyer, george buck flower, angus scrimm, reggie banister, kane hodder, tony todd, tom savini (LOL NEVERMIND) AND ted raimi (which... looking respectfully)??? also jack lemmon's son is just like,, there? tammy lauren is serving 1997 realness the entire time and looks so good. same for andrew divoff but he's like a second husband from the city. all of the practical effects are amazing but that's to be expected. like there's a lizard man, how do you not love lizard man??? this a capital B movie but it wouldn't be nearly as fun if it tried to be anything else.
