Task

It takes a lot these days to get me to watch a full series of what is effectively a crime drama, but Inglesby really has the juice. Just like Mare of Easttown this puts its focus on emotion over action with really tremendous results. Ruffalo is great, but my girl Alison Oliver absolutely kills it -- the scene of her flirting with Grasso in the bar, and subsequently them dancing to Gwen Stefani in the next episode, are two of my favourite moments of the year. She has shades of young Cameron Diaz in this, it's a really fantastic performance and hopefully there's much more to come. Thought it had run out of juice by end of Ep 6 but was pleasantly surprised by the additional gut punch of the finale.
