Wicked

they did great with this rendition, i think the story benefits a lot from having cgi and more creative latitude on film vs on stage. musical performances were great and paid homage to the originals with their own spin that i will get used to upon more listens. i noticed way more about the story with it slowed down, cried twice. did very well to capture the theme of the conflict between nihilism, playing the social ladder game, and being true to your core values and standing up for what you believe in to your own detriment. prob didn’t need to be that long/two parts, but i didn’t feel fatigued during it.
