I love movies because they can teach me valuable life lessons. Whiplash teaches me the dangers of pursuing greatness. The Godfather teaches me to always trust your family first. Oldboy teaches me if I’m ever in a pinch I should simply become a dog and start barking and licking stuff. Honestly, under the circumstances, I may have done the same thing. Shit was diabolical. And then he doubled down on it with the tapes… commitment.
