Scarface

"The eyes, Chico, they never lie." A film that is so destructive, yet so neat in style. The reason why I watched this a second time is because the scenes never left. The movie sticks to that line and emphasizes the looks in their eyes; through their gazes, we can almost see what comes next: success, destruction, and finally—a hollow sense of emptiness. But every once in a while, the lenses he sees through break, and then he could catch a glimpse of his own reflection in those shards. What makes this film one of my favourites, though, is really just how stylish and classy it is 🫶 (don't hate on me)
