Every Christmastime, since this film came out, it has been my own personal tradition to watch this every year. I remember I read somewhere a few years ago that this story plays out like a horror film and it completely changed my perspective of it as a whole. The hunger of just wanting to be understood and the eeriness of feeling all eyes on you, while you're struggling with no helping hand at all. That is so deeply horrifying. Truly one of the most beautiful and tragic films ever in my opinion. I will always cherish this and no one's opinion can change that for me. P.S. The poster for this film is absolutely brilliant.
