sooooo soooo soooo glad i got to see this anniversary rerelease. probably my favorite fincher film. everything about this movie is PERFECT! and seeing it in imax was mind blowing.  NEED to emphasize the set design…. literally my favorite aspect of this movie (beside the last 20 mins of course…) every single scene is so perfectly crafted to fit the “vibe” of the movie. so disgustingly grim and nasty when it needs to be…. there isnt a moment where you second guess if we’re in the location of a crime ridden rotten city. dirt and grime is everywhere, rainy and muddy, most scenes filled with people and noise. THE KILLERS APARTMENT !!! everything single thing in there was so purposely placed; from the hundreds of books, to the crosses on the walls, and even the millions of creepy and nasty shit in the drawers and scattered on all surfaces. UGH I LOVE IT!  and again the last 20 minutes. dispite this not being a first time watch…. i still feel like i relived that same feeling of indescribable dread and uneasiness seeing the box like it was my first time…. fucking fantastic.
