Simply one of the best films of all time, directed by one of the best of all time, and starring the best of all time. My mother showed me this movie when I was in middle school, and it moved me then, and it still moves me with every rewatch. Not only did this movie help my love for filmmaking, but it introduced me to one of my favorite humans that walked this earth. The death of Malcolm X hits me, and I know it hits others super hard. It’s like we lost a true man for humanity and a friend. I will forever thank Spike Lee and Denzel for this movie.
