Moon Knight
The first of these Disney + shows to feel completely disparate from the MCU, for better and worse. There are aspects that work great, but tonally it feels out of sync. Weirdly, I think this would be better served as one of the Netflix shows, as even with the mature content warning, this still felt like a DISNEY show.
Isaac and Hawke are clearly way better than the material, but they’re so damn compelling to watch. I’d certainly rather have them there than not. Very much into the Egyptian mythology, which always feels painfully unexplored in media. I do wish they had kept the skeletal aesthetic that they introduced with Konshu rather than what happens in the later episodes though.
Ultimately, this all felt like a proof of concept for a Kane Chronicles adaptation, which would fit far better in this tone. Can’t wait for Moon Knight to meet Blade some day, but I cannot imagine him meeting a single Avenger.
