2000s Park Chan-wook was pumping out some of the best films of the decade or even century back to back. His films are incredible at portraying many different characters, who find themselves in unforeseen circumstances that generates absurd levels of human desperation. Especially when protecting yourself and the people you care about.
Oldboy is just that, a perfect vengeance film accompanied by Choi Min-sik’s best performance.
