when I watched this almost 2 years ago I didn’t have any strong reactions in the theater during the movie. it wasn’t until I drove home, watched the trailer, and talked to my parents about the movie and something broke inside me seeing this now with new and improved eyes, this was even better the second time around. not only did it completely break me again, but charlotte wells directs the shit out of this movie all the reflections convey such a strong feeling it’s hard to say why it works so well. charlotte wells really went full Angel mode here
